If you have secured 60 percent marks in your graduate degree, you can sit for any of the exams like Common Entrance Test (CET) or Tamil Nadu CET (TANCET). For Management Quota, students should write CET conducted by Consortium of Self financing Engineering Colleges association of Tamilnadu during August every year. For Government quota, students should write TANCET conducted by Anna University, Chennai. Students are selected through single window counseling conducted by Anna University. The school also boasts to have a catalogue of 3000+ e-journals. The Central Library at SSM has a collection of over 79718 documents covering all disciplines. It includes books, back volumes, standards, atlases, audio/video cassettes, CD-ROMs. The Central Library receives 180 journals; Indian and Foreign. The library uses Autolib, an Integrated Library Management software package for library housekeeping. It keeps a database of books and periodicals. Using Autolib OPAC (On-line Public Access Catalogue), one can search the on-line catalogue by author's name, title, subject or keyword. The Central Library is a member of American Information Resource Center (AIRC). This gives you access to books and resource material not available on the campus library. The state-of-the-art library allows students to expand their knowledge base beyond textbooks and notes taken in class. With the online journals and e-catalogues students can not only learn about the confluence of different disciplines but also be in sync with what is being taught around the world. This gives them a competitive edge that can only be achieved with a competitive learning culture.

To maintain a good ambience for academics mixed with a conducive environment in the campus the school conducts all India level management meet, seminars and workshops. SSM also lays out programs to help students rejuvenate so that they give their best in everything they do. Regular yoga classes are arranged for students and staff at college premises. Dr. Krishnan is a Post Doctoral Fellow from IIT Madras, Department of Management Studies. She was awarded her Ph.D from Alagappa University in Bank Management. She has studied M.Com from Osmania University. She has 15 years of teaching experience and 8 years of research experience. Her core competencies include people management, knowledge based application and articulation of skills, effective pedagogy, coaching and mentoring. Her research areas include Entrepreneurship, Small and Medium Enterprises, Micro credit, and Women's empowerment. She brings with her, 5 years of Industry experience in Marketing research and Human Resource Development. She is a Member, Board of Studies, Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, Prashanthi Nilayam. She has conducted various MDPs and FDPs and been a resource person for Time Management, Motivation, Emotional intelligence, Transactional analysis, FIRO-B exercise for bank officials, junior engineers of JSW Steels Limited, Consultancy and training services provided for KMC constructions and junior and senior level engineers on competency mapping and on key skill areas. Sports, Music and Fitness

The role of sports in the holistic development of an individual can never be ruled out. And, if the individual wishes to be a business administrator then it holds even more importance as it is the best method to develop team spirit and leadership qualities. At Sona, students engage in sports, music, and other extra-curricular activities to improve their latent skills. The college has invested in state-of-the-art fitness center, sports equipment and musical instruments. The campus has facilities to play outdoor games like Football, Hockey, Tennis, Cricket, Basketball and Badminton. The students also play indoor games like Table Tennis, Carom or Chess.
