As the aerospace industry grows exponentially, the need for aeronautical engineers is rising sharply. With the requirements of theoretical and practical understanding of aeronautical engineering principles, the educational institutions today are expected to showcase both academic and industrial expertise. In this issue, we have shifted our focus to this field of higher education. The cover story of this issue features Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College (SREC). Established in 1994 by SNR Sons Charitable.

Trust, SREC Coimbatore is one of the very few institutions that developed the infrastructure - redesigning the course syllabi and curricula in alignment with the growing technological needs and demands of the industry. One of the 15 institutes managed by the trust, SREC has been an autonomous institute since 2007, with an A+ grade through two cycles of NAAC. Also, for the last four years, the institution has been ranked amongst the top 200 institutions in the NIRF, with all departments permanently affiliated to Anna University, Chennai, and all eligible programs accredited by NBA.
