"By 2025, RVCE plans to be among the 300 top institutes in Asia increasing up to 15 percent of the revenue obtained only from research and consultancy work fostered in the college and also setting up startups, which would promote more entrepreneurial ventures. The institution has 2500+ computers, 13 Air-conditioned seminar halls spread over the Campus. Spacious Laboratories/workshops with latest equipment catering to the respective programs. Adding to this, the Interdisciplinary Research laboratories has latest equipments and 82 software including facility for semiconductors device and integrated circuit fabrication. The institution has established various Centres of Excellence viz. The college is home to fully equipped Placement and Training department with seminar hall, Group Discussion and interview rooms. The central Library of RVCE is spread over 2000 sqm. space which holds 172682 Volumes of knowledge resource, digital Library, 55808 Titles, 29000 E-Books and 5686 E-journals. Data Centre, Internet facility of 1000 MbPS bandwidth, 980 KWA of Diesel generator backup and 0.5 MW Roof Top Solar Power in all buildings. The entire campus is covered with Wi-fi facility for faculty and students. The college also has six bedded Health Centre with one isolation ward, Indoor Basketball court and indoor shuttle Badminton court, Lawn Tennis court, Football and cricket grounds, Multi Gym Facility. The four boys Hostel blocks in the campus that can accommodate about 1299 students and one girl's hostels that can accommodate about 420 students. Other facilities offered by RVCE include Post Office, Bank with ATM facility, Girls Common Room, Spacious Food Court to accommodate over 1000 students and 5 different varieties of cuisines.
"In 2018, the institution also revised its syllabus to give more importance to the skill-based learning method. Now, everything is experience-based learning in the institute. The curriculum of every program has been developed not only to meet the Program Outcomes (POs) but also emphasis is on inclusiveness through interdisciplinary courses and Experiential Learning. Courses on Environment, Engineering Biology, Constitution of India, Entrepreneurship, Intellectual Property Rights, Sustainable Materials and several interdisciplinary electives are included in the curriculum. The programs are designed with requisite number of foundation courses, advanced coursesSWEBOK, MOOCS, NPTEL, QEEE, TEQIP, IUCEE, IEEE, Coursera, industry-based electives and laboratories, to facilitate enhancement of competence of the students in all the relevant domains and render them employable, prepare them for higher studies, entrepreneurship and public service. The college also introduced project-based learning and looking into ICT enabled teaching-learning in many subjects. Shaping Professionals with Unique Pedagogies
RVCE abides by to adopt the mantra of transmitting Outcome-Based Education (OBE) with a focus on experiential learning, interdisciplinary research, good governance, entrepreneurial culture, sustainable and inclusive technologies. In the last 15 years, the institution has been working on various research and innovation processes. The institution has about 15 ongoing research projects sponsored by DRDO, ISRO, NRB, AICTE, UGC, VGST and many more which sums up to Rs. 20 Crores. Adding to these, the institution has 14 Research Centres carrying out Research and Consultancy in various domains, other than offering Ph.D./M.Sc. Engineering programs.
Majority of the RVCE faculty members hold an experience of ten to fifteen years in academics and many having Ph.Ds. FDPs, industrial visits, seminars, conferences and other such events are organized for faculty by the institute to keep abreast with the changing trends.
