Our first step towards formal education starts at the age of mere 2 years that takes a plunge from Play School to Kindergarten to High School to College and to the University for higher education. MDI is situated in the heart of the fast developing city Gurgaon. The green campus creates a peaceful ambience which is apt for nurturing a creative mind. This lush green background campus hosts air-conditioned lecture halls, syndicate rooms, faculty and administrative blocks, a state-of-the-art computer centre, and one of the best management libraries of the country. The institute's library is fully automated and has over 60,000 titles predominantly related to management and supporting disciplines.

With MDI's infrastructure, centrally located campus, and well stacked library, its students are provided with all key ingredients required to embark on a successful career. "For any person to be successful in this highly competitive era, he must learn how to develop his personality in order to be able to channel his energy towards his focus area. MDI has close to 18 student-driven clubs and interest groups that conduct and organize various events throughout the year," says Prof. Anil Anand Pathak, Chairperson - Student Affairs, MDI. The clubs include academic groups like Monetrix – a finance club, Big Bargain – a live market simulation, Adhigraha – an event of mergers & acquisitions and activity clubs like Sanskriti and Sports Club. Independent from these clubs, MDI has a student run mutual fund called Unnati which is a diversified fund with the objective of providing future managers with a launch pad to enhance their learning through the experience of managing a real investment portfolio.
The management institute also lays emphasis on its student's recreation. There are facilities for a golf course, lawn tennis, badminton, table tennis, billiards and gymnasium, and yoga classes conducted for the fitness freaks. Recreation room, T.V. lounge and canteen are some of the places where students get together on campus. Students also have the option for indoor games like chess, carom, and other puzzles that rejuvenate a tired mind. The institute also has a centre for computer geeks which has 698 PC nodes / laptop includes IBM Pentium based servers connected on a high speed Gigabit Ethernet Fibre Optic/UTP based network in a distributed Windows and Linux environment. All these nodes have access to the Internet through a 16 MBPS leased line. Application software like MS Project, Primavera, SPSS, SQL Server, Data Mining software SPSS Clementine and others is extensively used, making it a haven for all the technically inclined individuals.
The student hostels are within the college premises and MDI ensures that all students and residents are safe on its campus. The institution has restrictions of entry and exit timings for students as it is bound by local rules and regulations. The students are not allowed to go out of campus after 11.00 P.M. without permission. There is a brief guideline that the institute provides to all students on campus that contains various do's and don'ts and every student by and large abide by these guidelines and live in perfect harmony accepting the diversity as a part of their professional behavior and conduct. So far, MDI have not had a single untoward incident on account of regional or any other difference in the hostels. Also, MDI does not allow unauthorized entry on the campus and every building has an assigned security guard to let each student grow with peace.
