From affinity towards learning different languages to completing learning those and later opening up a language training institute is what denotes Resham Khare's journey of incepting Language Beyond. She learnt French, German and Spanish when she was in school. Resham pursued French honors in under graduation and taught in a foreign language institute part time. After completing under graduation, Resham got job in a school where she started working while continuing to teach as well in foreign language institute. Seeing her enthusiasm for teaching foreign languages, Resham's parents motivated her to start the language training center Language Beyond. "Being from education background, my parents already had an institute. Their help, especially my father's effort paved the way for Language Beyond where we teach numerous languages like French, German, Spanish, Mandarin, Urdu, Arabic, Japanese and Farsi. Regional languages like Hindi and Marathi are also in the list. Not just this, we also prepare students for English, Spoken English, IELTS and TOEFL," says Resham Khare, Founder, Language Beyond.
What You Can Learn at Language Beyond
Language Beyond prepares students for international exams that are conducted by the embassy of a particular country. Like for French, the international language exam is conducted by French embassy Alliance Francaise and for German it's conducted by Goethe-Institut Max Mueller Bhavan. Language Beyond prepares the students according to the norms prescribed by the respective embassies. The centre prepares the students for all the four sections speaking, listening, reading and writing. Students completing foreign language course from Language Beyond have never failed to qualify in these examinations. The trainers make sure that the students learn speaking the particular language from day one and gradually develop mastery over it. Regular class tests, mock papers, final exam are also conducted to make sure that the students are adjacent for optimum performance.

"There are 100+ places over here in Maharashtra teaching foreign languages. However, I have seen that somewhere or the other the students have fear in speaking the particular language they learn. I feel they are not confident enough. It doesn't happen here in my institute. They complete the courses with sheer confidence for speaking and writing," explains Resham. Pen and paper learning is not the only medium of learning at Language Beyond. By doing role plays, trainers at Language Beyond ensure that students learn the language with fun filled activities. Videos sessions, music listening and workshops are knowledge fostering parts of the curriculum. The trainers establish connection with dignitaries of the respective countries to build the intercultural competencies of the students. This approach also strengthens the pronunciation and vocabulary of the students. Strategies like less students-trainer ratio, film screening are adopted for cohesive and interactive learning. Flexibility in schedule in these makes learning attuned for the students.

The workshops conducted by Language Beyond are very interesting. Even the outsiders are allowed at no cost. At the workshop the trainers introduce the students to the culture of a particular country. Like for French culture introduction, Language Beyond trainers will keep French food and have basic conversations with the students. The trainers tell them 'This is a French food Baguette, it tastes good, Out of curiosity, the students will remember the name of the food. Similar to this, Language Beyond tries developing intercultural understanding.
Language Beyond has conducted a few corporate training for companies that approaches the training center. The companies describe the requirements and Language Beyond delivers to the needs. "I had a company where it wanted the employees to learn basic Japanese for communication purposes. In this case, the trainers went there and taught them grammar and built their writing skills. The employees took so much interest that the company asked to extend the duration. The companies come with very little requirement. Whatever is the requirement, we fill that requirement if it's flexible for corporate. We don't stick to fulfilling just one requirement; we make sure that we are doing more. Then I have had training sessions for students as in the employees had to go to Germany for work. The main purpose was speaking. All things related to survival vocabulary, we provided that, and when the employees came back, they were clearly thankful to us, to the trainers," states Resham.
As of now, Language Beyond is operating in one place. The admission is rising every month. The students coming to learn a language at Language Beyond are finishing learning with sheer precision. "I would never take the credit to me for this. The trainers have made it possible. You want to spread that awareness of learning as many languages as you can? I would suggest it is the best thing one can do. About the advantages of learning all the foreign languages, it minimizes the gap between two countries and the culture different. The more you travel the more languages you learn, the more confident you become the more you learn. Opening up more branches and making my students happy is what I'm looking forward to," elucidates Resham.
