KCLAS offers liberal arts education to create T shaped individuals with a deep domain knowledge and a breadth of multi-disciplinary exposure, while building life skills of 4Cs - Critical thinking, Collaboration, Communication, and Creativity.
KCLAS was launched under the flagship of Sakthi group and Kumaraguru Institutions, has been a front runner in higher education in Tamil Nadu and South India since 1957. KCLAS was established in the year 2018 and is based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The college is affiliated to Bharathiar University, a State University of Tamil Nadu, which is ranked 14th in the country. KCLAS offers many future-oriented Undergraduate, Post-graduate, and Ph.D. programs in various disciplines.

The portfolio of programs offered by KCLAS gives the students to enjoy a liberal art learning experience. The educational model of the college is a unique sandwich model including of KCLAS core, KCLAS edge, and KCLAS edge+ that provides a blend of major and inter-disciplinary minors and a plethora of skill sharpening field actions. Through KCLAS edge+ , students gain industry and International certifications through 24 partners associated with KCLAS in advanced and specialized themes. The comprehensive learning model of the college is inspired by Jacques Delors's Educational model (UNESCO). KCLAS offers an array of 10 Undergraduate programs, two Postgraduate programs, and three Ph.D. programs. The undergraduate program includes Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Commerce (Professional Accounting), B.B.A., Bachelor of Business Administration (IB), BA in Economics, BA Political Science, BA Tamil (creative writing), B.Sc. Psychology, B.Sc. Visual Communication, and B.Sc. Data Science. The postgraduate programs offered are Master of Social Work, MA Political Science. KCLAS also offers doctoral program in Management, Commerce, and Tamil Language.
KCLAS is proud to have an ever-growing team of faculty who are superior educators and scholars who have extensive real-world experience in their fields. They are dedicated to offer unique and creative learning experiences and campus experience. The faculty are qualified as per UGC norms and 64 percent of the faculty are Ph.D. holders, and hail from five different states with an average experience of 10.04 years. To make learning an engaging process, the students are facilitated with various teaching methods like lectures, seminars, workshops, and guided learning sessions. Peers help each other in learning concepts by engaging in activities like presentations, learning groups, experiential learning, and volunteering. The learning model of Bloom's Taxonomy is adapted by the faculty which facilitates the application, analysis, evaluation, and creation of learners' thoughts. The academic course of KCLAS not only enhances the knowledge of the subject but also focuses on the development of technical and soft skills of the students.

Students enjoy great campus experience through the range of clubs and forums which are lead by Leadership Council. The students also enjoy 150 acres of green cam-pus with all modern facilities. It has first-rate teaching and sporting facilities, as well as student accommodation. It is ideal for any National/ International students to enjoy the local culture while being engaged in deep intellectual pursuits. The campus is located 20 minutes from the airport of Coimbatore city, which is one of the entrepreneurial and safest cities in the country.

KCLAS has career centres where career counsellors discuss and give advice to students about their interest areas and various career opportunities. The students are taken through various stages of career planning. Stage 1 Know Yourself, in this stage students are asked to explain their interest areas and skills for a particular career option. Stage 2 Explore Options, in this stage students, are acquainted with the latest industry trends, which constitutes required knowledge and skills for a job from the candidate, and others, and students are provided with recent occupational data and career options. Stage 3 Get Focused, by this stage students are well aware of the career opportunities and needs, so they are asked to decide and choose from the given career options and motivated to work hard for goal achievement. Stage 4 Take Action, learners are motivated for joining internships programs and gain experience while working.

KCLAS encourages its students to go for higher studies to national or global educational institutes and to pursue professional qualifications like CA, CS, CMA, ACCA, Law, IAS/IPS. The institute also guides its students to start a venture, to be an entrepreneur, or to go for the family business. KCLAS has partnered with various industries, businesses, and NGOs for placements and internships.
