The premise under which J.S. University has been established is echoed by the Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Hari Mohan �J.S. University Shikohabad, in tune with the vision `to empower the rural society through education`, is determined to develop its youths as true citizens embodying impeccable integrity � both professional & personal and unparalleled social commitment.� Located in Shikohabad, Uttar Pradesh, it has been given the status of a University through the Sri Jagdish Jan Kalyan Educational Trust in 2015. This new University has been providing quality education for over 10 years through their management and engineering institutions before achieving university status. The University Institute has been approved by the AICTE.
With the growing concerns in academia regarding quality of students being produced this university is holding on to its values of academic excellence and quality. The institute provides a plethora of courses for students in undergraduate, post graduate MPhil and PhD levels. Some of these include Engineering, Agriculture and Commerce among others. The University understands the importance of vocational education and thus planning to begin a community college. This college will provide UGC approved Trade courses such as accountancy and taxation, computer hardware and network maintenance, among others. Taking their commitment to education one step further, the University has also established the Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Advance Learning centre. Here, innovative courses such as police studies and forensic science, women studies and criminology and security management are provided as well.
