India has seen a rapid expansion in the higher education sector since 2001. There has been a dramatic rise in the number of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and the enrolment has increased by multiple folds. Today, Indian higher education system is one of the largest in the world, with more than 50,000 institutions pan-India. With the increasing numbers, the focus of most institutes is shifting from providing quality education to offering education to a large number of students. Adding to this, the quality of curriculum is also getting compromised year on year.
