As the fourth pillar of democracy, media has a crucial role to play, and it is possible only with an effective education of media and mass communication. With time, the required skills of media professionals have changed considerably and the pedagogy is being overhauled to meet the changing demand. Considering the rapid evolution of this educational segment, we have come up with this special issue focusing exclusively on it.
