Classrooms without Walls and Boards

While, the number of graduates in the streets of India is rising exponentially every year, the education system in the country is in the process of graduating from black boards to digital boards. In fact, the Union Budget for 2018 – 19 had allocated Rs. 456 Crore for Digital Learning, indicating that the central government is now focusing on improving the quality of education by integrating technology. The results of a research conducted by KPMG along with insights from Google search also shows that the government is moving in the right direction when it comes to digitalization of learning.

The report titled 'Online Education in India: 2021' says that there have been a 2x growth in online searches for education and a 3X growth in searches from a mobile device. Moreover, 44 percent of education searches are now coming from beyond the top six metros and there has been a 4X growth in education content consumption on YouTube in the last one year. Undoubtedly, India as a country with nearly 500 million internet users has a lot of potential to capitalize on the opportunities offered by the digital learning solution providers. At present, digital learning solutions' market in India is at $2 billion and it is the largest digital education industry outside the US.

However, identifying a quality content provider is the biggest challenge for online learners, as there are numerous digital learning portals available today.
