Simplifying the Toughest Test in the Planet

If something is worth acquiring, then it may not be easy to obtain, unless the pursuer is determined to put a lot of efforts and pain. This has been always the case with one of the toughest examinations on the planet ' the Common Admission Test or simply, the CAT. Conducted by the prestigious IIMs in the country, around two lakhs aspirants register for CAT every year, but only a few ends up in securing admission in the top-rated b-schools. While India does not host too many reputed management colleges in its soil, the pressure of aspirants to perform well in exams like CAT is immense. A coaching institute with expert guides can be vital in such situations. However, many institutes in this sector limit themselves to study materials and run-of-the-mill classroom sessions, instigating the learners to drop out coaching centres in the middle of the course.

Preparing more than 1000 students in classrooms and 2500+ in online, taking with centres in Mumbai and Pune spells a different story of success in this league

Preparing more than 1000 students in classrooms and 2500+ in online, CATKing with centres in Mumbai and Pune spells a different story of success in this league. Ishan Gangar, an Electrical and Electronics engineer from MIT, who cracked the CAT and grabbed admission in the prestigious JBIMS with the help of CATKing, wrote in his testimony, "Concepts and syllabus would be covered by any other coaching classes, but CATKing helps us plan our preparation of topics, tempo of preparation and mocks." Like Gangar, CATKing has helped many aspirants to find their true north. "It was a great journey at CATKing. The faculty members here are highly knowledgeable, dedicated and never hesitate to explain a concept any number of times, till we are clear with it," writes Anjali who is now studying at her dream B-School, NMIMS.

While every student of CATKing has different takes on the way they were supported by the institute, most of them have one common thing to say at the end. "The credit for my success across all exams goes to CATKing and Rahul Sir. They have guided me, forced me and coaxed me through every decision and at every juncture. My queries were answered even post-midnight without any delays," writes Meera Nair.

The Secret of CATKing's Success

Rahul Sing, or as students fondly call him, Rahul Sir is the brain and backbone of CATKing, now a leading coaching institute that prepares students to crack exams like CAT, CET, NMAT, TISSNET, SNAP, GMAT, GRE and other BankPO Exams. Raised by a teacher-mother, the spirit of an academician already runs in Rahul's blood. He says, "In our country, many people consider teaching as an alternative profession, because, most of us want to become engineers or management professionals. This is one challenge that Indian education system faces and at CATKing, I am working with people who are passionate about education and we teach our students in an organized manner."

An alumnus of SP Jain and Harvard Business School, Rahul dons many hats today; he is a passionate trainer, a brilliant entrepreneur and a trustworthy mentor. More than everything, he understands the pulse of the millennial learners. "We are very active in digital platforms," shares Rahul. The presence of Rahul and CATKing can be seen everywhere on the internet. His YouTube Channel and Face Book page are already buzzing with more than 1 million followers. He is also active in Quora, where he answers all the queries related to CAT and other exams. "Internet is a very good source of knowledge. But, everything that is written there cannot be true. I personally overseas these platforms to ensure that our followers receive reliable contents," claims Rahul.

For CATKing and Rahul, content really matters. He explains, "Our materials are prepared by toppers of CAT and every year, we make necessary changes with the recent updates." A team that comprises of IIMs, SP Jain, NMIMS, JBIMS and NIT alumni and students supports Rahul in this endeavor. Indeed, most of them have personally gone through the test preparations and have secured a minimum of 99. 9 percentile in one of their attempts. Ajay, one of the CATKing alumni confirms this and writes, "I made it to the top MBA institutes only because the teachers of CATKing led me even after cracking the written entrance exams. You will not find just teachers here, but guides. They are the best guides."

CATKing is not an institution that leaves students after the exams. The mentors at the institute handhold the students until they find admission in an institute of their choice. Rahul says, "We offer our help throughout the student lifecycle. Where most of the institutions finish their syllabus and leave the students to study on their own, we offer our mentoring till their last exam; until the students get admission into the college. That is when the students need their teachers the most."

Personal care and attention is a ubiquitous quality of CATKing. That is the reason why the online programs of CATKing are always live, while most of the coaching institutes provide pre-recorded sessions to teach their students. Now, with CATKing, Rahul and his team are planning to take their services to people across the country through various digital platforms."In a span of two years, we could become one of the best in the Maharashtra region. In the coming years, we want to continue this spirit to become the best in the nation," concludes Rahul.
