ASKIHMCA was established with the intention of providing 100% skill based Culinary Arts, Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, Bakery and Pastry Arts courses for passionate learners without any age limit. Adding more about the inception ideology of the institute and their teaching objectives, Antony Mahendran who is the Director of the institute says "In 2011, we started this institute offering short term cookery courses which was later developed into diploma in culinary arts, diploma in bakery, and diploma in hotel management. Then, we introduced degree in hotel management as well as degree in international culinary arts and post graduate program in culinary arts for hotel management graduates. We were the first culinary institute in Bangalore and me being someone who had held the office of principal in various hotel management institutes helped me to identify the gaps as well as the rising demands in this space. I have also worked in various hotels around the globe and this gave me the needed industry exposure that was crucial for the establishment of my institute. Our vision is to develop young professionals who are masters in culinary arts. We want to give them the perfect platform that they can use to not only pursue their passion in culinary arts but also give them the right opportunities to hone their skills".
