Annasaheb Dange College of Engineering and Technology (ADCET) has been working towards providing high quality technical education. To be a Technological Institution of Global Repute is the Vision.

"Technical knowledge needs to be taken to the rural areas as talent is found there; it just has to be polished and presented," this is one of the core beliefs of the founder of ADCET Shri. Annasaheb Dange and continues to be one of the core beliefs of the college. Established in 1999 this college has expanded a great deal starting with three courses and expanding to eight. ADCET has accreditation from the NBA, an 'A' grade from NAAC and is affiliated to Shivaji University. The growth and development of the college can be seen in the fact that this is becoming the destination of ranked students. This is because the college prepares students for the future.

One of the key focuses of this college is employability. That is why there is great focus on student placements. The students are provided with every opportunity to begin illustrious careers in the industry. Thus the college focuses on preparing the students for the recruitment process. The college provides personality development courses for the students. Soft -skills training is also provided by the college. ADCET currently has over 30 companies recruiting its graduates. Among the top recruiters are TCS, Tata Motors and Capgemini among many others.

Aside from that, the 16 MoUs signed by the college with various other agencies have fostered stronger ties with the industry. Through them, students are able to gain experience in research and development and lab development among others. Some of the MoUs signed are with NASSCOM, Sahyadri Excursions Pvt. Ltd and Khilare and Associates among others. The college has begun, vigorously, an entrepreneurship cell to provide employability for students as well as to raise funds. So far five entrepreneurs have begun their start-ups. The college also finds industry members to provide support and motivation to the student to enter the field of entrepreneurship.

There is also focus being given to faculty and pedagogy which are two of the most important aspects of any institute. The pedagogy in this college is the Outcome-Based learning method. Focus is given on creating a robust curriculum and a robust assessment model. Training programs have been created so that student involvement is maximized in the teaching and learning process. This makes the pedagogy work two-ways with students and faculty learning from each other. The institute also focuses on getting the best professors. They also provide regular training programs to keep the professors updated with changes in the curriculum. Another important focus being given to the professors is regular industry training. This is compulsory for all the professors who receive training in the industry and then provide courses to the students based on their experiential learning.

With rapid strides in the world of technology and engineering, a major fallback of many institutes is updating their curriculum. This college has provided a number of solutions. The college has tied with certain industries for visits by the students. These industries provide training to the students that prove beneficial to them. The college has also understood that there are many subjects which have a broad curriculum. Accordingly 'bridge programs' were developed where the skill-sets of the student are improved based on the requirement of the industry. These add-on programs are not included in the curriculum. There are two add-on courses per department and it is compulsory for the students to take them.

With the campus in the rural area, the college has not lived in isolation, away from the surrounding villages. This college has immersed itself in activities that seek to work with the rural community for their betterment. The Collector of the district has given the institute problems pertaining water resource management, water treatment plan and waste water management. The college also provides workshops to farmers in the latest technologies. The college also provide consultancy to the village members. The college also actively involves itself in the Prime Minister's Swachch Bharat program. Computer education is also provided through workshops to rural students. This and many other activities are some of the outreach programs of the college.

The college has definitive plans for the future which include autonomy in the next one to two years. The college also has plans towards foreign university collaborations. Entrepreneurship development is one area that the college aims to give focus to in the future as well as more MoUs and collaborations with industry.
