Established under Maharashtra Govt. Act of 2015 of Government of Maharashtra, Ajeenkya DY Patil University- School of Law, Pune was set up with a vision to become the pioneer in the Best Law School and impart exceptional legal education and create an impeccable combination of academic rigour and hands-on practical experience. Thriving on its highly innovative curriculum, the institute leaves no stone unturned to ensure substantive preparation in law and lawyering skills in the context of evolving society and polity. Being an emerging educational institution, established in 2015, Ajeenkya DY Patil University- School of Law has come a long way since establishment. While quality curriculum of Ajeenkya DY Patil University- School of Law sets it apart from other Law colleges in India, the school also believes in laying a strong foundation to ensure future success of students. Through intensive, individualized instruction, the curriculum is shaped to emphasize more on analytical thinking, soft skills, client counselling, legal research skill, writing skills, drafting, teamwork, negotiating, communication skills, and oral advocacy.

With our Moot Court session Group Discussion, Movie Review Discussion, Evaluation, and more, we tend to bring the real-time experience of law professionals to our students. In order to insulate the culture of practical learning, we practice famous hearings and cases that are guided by the faculty themselves. Apart from this, ADYPU has multiple student engagement activities where students can participate in all the campus and off-campus events hosted and planned by different student groups. The sports department caters to all interests and tastes ranging from competitive sports to basic fitness programs. There are facilities for indoor sports as well as outdoor sports. Well-equipped facilities such as Lawn Tennis, Badminton, Swimming, Cycling, Football, Cricket, etc. are available on the campus for our students. Also, ADYPU organizes activities and events for students throughout the year. Some of the students from Ajeenkya DY Patil University- School of Law have now joined the National Law School of India University, Banglore; NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad; working at Infosys, Fujitsu, and many other renowned companies including Sonal Agarwal, one of the bright students who has worked in Infosys and is currently working in Fujitsu as a Legal Assistant. Ruchika Sharma and Monica Sharma are few other students who have worked at ADYPU as a Law Faculty. The alumni of ADYPU have been a constant source of support and encouragement for these future lawyers. Taking note of this, the institute has also started several programs to connect its current students with alumni, to guide them in their learning and in career development.

"We enable the learning beyond campus, by providing students every opportunity to connect with teachers any time they want with the Tutor-Mentor Program. Recently, we have started Legal Aid and ADR Centre to provide legal assistance to students, staff, and the community who need it. This center will be run by faculty members and students.
