Agni School of Business Excellence (ASBEX) was established by Agni Knowledge Foundation. The foundation promotes its objective of translating Former President APJ Abdul Kalam's dream of PURA (Providing Urban Amenities to Rural Areas) by providing education and other services to the community at large at an affordable and reasonable cost without any profit motive in its true sense.

ASBEX is the first Indian B-School achieved third rank in the "Top 10 emerging B-schools in India" and All India Tenth Rank in the "Academic excellence" rated by Silicon India (P) Ltd.
Programs Offered:
ASBEX offers its students a Master in Business Administration (MBA) of the prestigious Anna University, Chennai with specializations in Marketing, Finance, Human Resource and Systems. The MBA course of ASBEX provides the students with important inputs- combined with practical knowledge to help them become successful in the corporate world.
Academic Resources and Faculty
ASBEX has built an IT lab with the latest systems, software and database packages along with 24 hours internet connection. To guide the students to communicate effectively and enhance their employability skills, a separate English language laboratory has also been set up and is attached to the main lab facility. The institute also has an updated library with numerous titles on the various subjects. The institution led by exceptional academic faculty with doctoral degree and corporate experience, steered by an outstanding advisory council and buoyed by the international collaborations, has within a short span established its goodwill and reputation among the top global industry players as well as student community. A Guide, Founder and Leader
ASBEX has been promoted and guided by an eminent academician Dr.P.Kanniappan, who has more than four decades of experience and former Vice-Chancellor of Alagappa University, Karaikudi and B.S.Abdul Rahman University, Chennai. He has held several academic and administrative positions at Gandhigram Rural University, a Central Deemed University. He created the Rural Energy Center at GRI and has successfully executed more than 17 R&D Projects funded by UGC, MNES, TEDA, MBHM and DAE. He has created a Centre for Rural Development, Ramanujam Centre for Higher Mathematics and a Centre for Nano Science and Technology at Alagappa University. Dr. Kanniappan has received the Outstanding Young Person Award for the outstanding contribution to Mathematics widely recognized worldwide as "Kanniappan's Lemma".

Prof. Subir Verma is a Professor in Behavioral Sciences & Dean–Academics at IIM Ranchi,Prof. Mirza S. Saiyaddin Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (India), Dr.M.Ramana an Alma of IIM –Calcutta and Former Director of IDBI Bank Limited,Mr.Praveen an alma of IIM –Ahmadabad and presently CEO of six thousand crore turnover company, Kompsos Media (P) Ltd and Mr. Kannan is an alumnus of College of Engineering Guindy and XLRI Jamshedpur are in our advisory committee.

ASBEX believes that the training imparted to the students would enable them to keep pace with the fast changing business trends and become the ignition for growth, development and talent building. More than 50 corporate expressed their interest in placements for "Agnians" and all our 2012-14 batch students (100%) have been successfully placed with a salary package up to 5.3 Lakhs per annum. The ASBEX has launched 'Earn While You Learn' Scheme, under which students get a chance to earn while pursuing their MBA degree. This scheme benefits students who want to gain practical experience or want to take care of their own expenses. Of all the students who apply, the institute selects only a few who are given 20 hours of training during the holidays. These students then get to complete part time assignments in Research and Data Cleansing, Market Research and Channel Development from the corporate. The corporate houses also offer a stipend to these students based on their performance. Frequent industrial visits to reputed companies like Apollo tyres, Delphi TVS, Naga Foods Ltd., Susee Automobiles and so on.
International Exposure:
ASBEX signed Memorandum of Understanding with Eduquest International Institute, Singapore and CMI (Charted Management Institute, UK) for faculty and student exchange program.
Merit Scholarships:
Agni Knowledge Foundations, an educational and charitable trust, is encouraging the students pursuing MBA at ASBEX with multi level scholarships for meritorious students and also rural scholarship schemes for students belonging to economically weaker sections of the society.
