A World Class Education System

With nearly 500 million visitors each year, the tourism sector in Europe is booming. Over 4000 higher education institutions provide a wide choice of courses at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels in total across Europe. Universities in Europe are currently of greater quality than ever before as more and more of these institutions offer English as the language of instruction for at least some of their degree programmes. Universities in Europe offer a friendly welcome to foreign students and to give a course of knowledge that meets their profession needs in today's global demand.
In this special issue, we have focused on the higher education landscape in Europe. The cover story of this issue features Ecole dHotellerie et de Tourisme du Luxembourg (EHTL. The institute offers a Diploma general secondary studies as well as Certificate of Advanced Technician in Hospitality Management. English as a lingua franca was introduced at BTS level but also in vocational training to give English native speakers the possibility to attend the school and obtain a qualification in the hospitality sector in Luxembourg and eventually continue their studies.
This issue also features HTL International School of Hospitality. HTL International School of Hospitality, Tourism, and Languages offers a series of study programs in the Business, Tourism and Hospitality industry. A private educational institution, HTL International School of Hospitality, Tourism and Languages is recognized by the city councils of Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia. This issue also features Victor Babes University of Medicine in Timisoara. Located in a multicultural and cosmopolitan town at Timisoara, Victor Babes was set up with the mission to contribute to the development of society, through education, research in the field of medical sciences and the promotion of the universal values of culture.
