In this special issue, we have focused on the higher education landscape in Europe.

This issue also features Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi. This is the oldest higher education institution in Romania and was founded in 1860, only one year after the establishment of the Romanian state and was both a result and a catalyst of the rise of the Romanian national spirit. Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi contributes towards the enhancement of the quality of media and mass communication education in Europe through collaboration with high schools, companies, non-governmental organizations, similar departments/centers from other universities and specialists in the fields of psychology and educational sciences within the university of other specialized organizations.

This issue also features City & Guilds of London Art School. Established in London, England in 1854 as a specialist college, City & Guilds of London Art School is dedicated to teaching the techniques of specialists crafts. Since inception, the institute has vested its focus on developing skills required in the artisan manufacturing industries and has since then evolved and expanded its educational programmes.
