IIT Delhi Launches IIT-PAL Website to Assist Students Prepare for Competitive Exams

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, IIT-PAL’s coordinating institute, has launched an interactive IIT-PAL website (https://iitpal.iitd.ac.in/). This is a single platform where students across India can access video lectures that are telecast on the Ministry of Education’s Swayam Prabha channels, interact live with IIT professors and ask questions.

IIT-PAL (IIT-Professor Assisted Learning) is an initiative of the Ministry of Education to provide free video lectures to students of classes 11 and 12. This was started to help students understand the science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Biology) and to encourage self-studying in preparing for competitive exams like JEE, NEET, IAT and others.

“This website will be helpful to students especially from regions where they may not have access to specialist teachers in science subjects and coaching opportunities," Joby Joseph, a professor at IIT Delhi and National Coordinator of IIT-PAL said.

The newly launched website lists the video lectures as per the NCERT syllabus of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology in classes 11th and 12th, according to a release shared by IIT Delhi.

Registered students can submit their topic wise doubts/questions/problems in English or Hindi on the website. A team of professors/experts at IIT-PAL will coordinate to find answers to these questions. Answers to selected questions will be posted on the website, which can be viewed by all registered students, according to the release.

Registered students may also request for a live interaction on specific topics in English or Hindi. “We acknowledge the constant support that we have received from the Ministry of Education right from the conceptualisation of IIT-PAL," Joseph said.
