IAF AFCAT 2021: Application Registration Process Starts from Dec 1 at afcat.cdac.in.

On November 28, 2020, the Indian Air Force issued an IAF AFCAT 2021 notice. The registration process for the Common Admission Test of the Air Force, AFCAT, will begin on 1 December 2020 and end on 30 December 2020. Candidates can apply online at afcat.cdac.in on the official IAF AFCAT website. The courses are scheduled to begin on January 20

Online applications are invited to the Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Flying Division and the Permanent Commission (PC) and the Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Divisions for courses starting in JANUARY 2022. Candidates can check the eligibility, selection process, and other details below.

Important Dates:
Application Opening Date: 1st December 2020

Application Closing Date: 30th December 2020

Age Limit:
The age limit for the Flying Branch should be 20 to 24 years of age and the age limit for Ground Duty should be 20 to 26 years of age.

Selection Process:
Based on the written AFCAT analysis, Officers Intelligence Rating Test & Picture Perception and Conversation Test, Psychological Test, and Group Tests / Interview, the selection will be made.

SSC for Men and Women: 
The engagement period for SSC officers of the Flying Branch shall be 14 years from the date of commissioning (Non-extendable).

For ten years, the initial tenure will be for SSC officers in Ground Duty (Tech and Non-Tech) divisions. Subject to service criteria, vacancy availability, willingness, suitability and merit, an extension of four years can be given.

Physical Conditioning:
To be able to perform the tests at AFSB, you are recommended to be physically fit when you report to SSB. You can try to achieve the ability to run 10 push-ups and 03 chin-ups in 10 minutes for 01 miles (1.6 km). To conform to physical training at AFA, which involves running, swimming, rope climbing and other types of physical training/conditioning in which they will undergo mandatory assessments during training, prospective candidates are also encouraged to keep themselves in good physical condition.
