Working for the Indian army is more than just a 9 to 5 occupation, it is something much more special and rewarding. With more and more youth now interested in joining the Indian army, there is tight competition for the vacancies which also indicates how much value Indians give to an opportunity to work for the Indian army. With more and more people crossing the age of 18 increasing, the Indian army will have a huge resource pool to pick their candidates from. With that, now let’s take a look at the normal salary scale for these jobs in the Indian army. On average, the salary for jobs can vary from Rs 15,000 to Rs 30,000 per month depending on the different posts that you can reach.

Now let’s take a look at the eligibility criteria for these posts- the basic qualification for the candidates who are looking at these posts is that they must have at least done a Matriculation/10th or equivalent degree and that should be from a recognised board. It is also important to note that, for aspiring candidates, the age limit for these posts varies from the ages between18 to 27 years.

•          Lets start with the Field Service Concessions that are in the Field Areas (except static units):

•             Free rations that are on scale which is applicable to combatants of the Army or Air Force, as the case may be, and fuel.

•             There will also be free clothing on the minimum scale of Army Personnel if the Corps Commander / AOC-in-C Air Force Command considers the issue for the need of such clothing essential for the various operational reasons.

•             Then, there will also be free medical as well as hospital treatment

 

•          Then, in Field Service Concessions which is in Modified Field Areas (except static units):

•             Free remittance of the family allotments is provided

•             Retention of the family accommodation which is allotted by the Government at the old duty station on the payment of the normal rent will be available.
