Misr University for Science & Technology (MUST) is one of the oldest private universities in Egypt. The idea behind the establishment of MUST by the late professor SouadKafafi is to provide Middle income class of Egyptian families with high quality level of higher education in order to support national and regional economic development plans. Each year MUST admitted only 1:5 percentage of registered students, which reflects the excellent reputation of MUST among Egyptian Universities.

The University is committed to preparing innovative and creative graduates, who are devoted to professionalism and ethical principles and are endowed with competitive capabilities that meet the needs of the changing labor market. Besides, MUST also provide community and environmental services as well as distinguished applied researches that can support economic and societal transformations and achieve sustainable development.

MUST also strive to become an entity within the system of internationally distinguished universities, preserving the values upheld by the society and maximizing its own characteristics and competitive roles through continuous development processes.

For the first time, Misr University for Science and Technology is ranked 732 in the world out of 7,533 universities, and governmental and private research institutions according to the classification of Scimago, an International Foundation accredited locally and internationally for the classification of international universities and research institutions due to their influence in the field of research, innovation, and social impact. MUST was ranked 17th at the level of Egyptian universities (governmental, civil, and private) and No. 2 among Egyptian private and civil universities as well.

The good reputation of MUST is attributed to the diversity of Accredited Credit hour system Academic Programs (14 colleges granting 42 academic programs), the distinguished reputation of MUST graduates, tight teaching regulations, good scientific research capacity and excellent academic development.

Therefore, the University has got 5 stars in Academic Development, 5 stars in Online Learning making it the first African and Egyptian University to get this rating, and 4 stars in Overall Rating according to the international Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Ranking. Moreover, MUST is distinguished for its Postgraduate Programs in Biotechnology (Medical and Pharmaceutical Program as well as Environmental and Agriculture Program), Medicine (many disciplines), Dentistry, Computer Sciences, Engineering (Mechanical Engineering, English Language, German Language (Deutsch) and Architecture programs.

All academic programs at MUST are taught in English language except for some Arabic programs (such as special education, archaeology, Mass Communication and Arabic language), hence, they are fit for international students. Moreover, all students have to pass English Language exam in order to determine which level of English language they have and which English language courses they have to be enrolled in for improving their language skills.

This also allows students from all over the globe to experience higher education of the highest standards at MUST. Also, the College of Medicine at MUST has acquired the newly integrated medical program and a well-equipped university hospital in addition to highly qualified academic staff to provide a better hands-on learning experience for their students. Moreover, all the colleges operating under MUST have well-established research facilities that enable undergraduate students to participate in research activities under the supervision of distinguished academic staff.

When asked about some of the various milestones and achievements, MUST have had, Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Azzazi, President of MUST says, "œ Misr University for Science & Technology (MUST) started with 6 Colleges in 1996-1997 (College of Medicine, College of Dentistry, College of Pharmacology, College of Engineering, College of Business and College of Mass Media and Communication). This number has been increased to 8 Colleges by the academic year 1998-1999 to include College of Physical Therapy and College of Foreign Languages.

Moreover, Additional increase has been carried out in the academic year 1999-2000 in which the college of Information Technology has been added to the university academic programs. Also, the College of Applied Medical Science has been started at the academic year 2004-2005. College of Biotechnology started at 2006-2007, while, College of Tourism has been added to the academic programs in 2007-2008. Moreover, the College of Special Education has been started at 2014.

Finally, the College of Applied Medical Sciences has been separated into two colleges in 2021 (College of Nursing and College of Applied Health Sciences). In parallel to the increased number of academic programs, the number of students at MUST has also been increased significantly from 429 students at the academic year 1996-1997 to more than 24293 in 2020-2021 Academic year".

Prof. Dr. Mohamed is also the Professor of Business Administration, College of Business Administration, Economy and Information Systems, Misr University for Science &Technology (MUST). His long experience in teaching and management either in national or international institutes enables him to provide top-notch education to MUST students. He is actively participating to achieve the objective of MUST which is providing the Middle-income class of Egyptian families with high quality level of higher education in order to support national and regional economic development plans.
