Prof Smita Lal, Dean IMM, has more than 35 years of experience, 19 of which have been with multinational corporates like: Philips India, Asea Brown Bovari, Uptron, and Hindustan Thompson Associates. She has worked with professional bodies like the Secretariat of the Indian Institute of Lighting Engineers (ISLE) and was a Member of the HR Committee of the Bengal Chamber of Commerce (Kolkata). As an educationist, she has taught Marketing and Management at Bahrain University and Delhi University. At IMM, she has been a Marketing Faculty and has held various responsibilities in the organization including its Research Publications and Newsletters. Currently, she holds the portfolio of Dean IMM, and is presently involved in developmental initiatives of IMM and the JJ Foundation.
