Inception & Evolution
Founded in 1960 by Seth Hassaram Rijhumal, Principal K. M. Kundnani, and Jyotu Kundnani alongside Principal H.C. Malkani, Hassaram Rijhumal College of Commerce & Economics traces its origins to Hyderabad Sind in 1945.
Affiliated with the University of Mumbai since its inception, the college's stellar NAAC achievements prompted the Maharashtra government and RUSA to recommend establishing the Hyderabad Sind National Collegiate Cluster University.
HR College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai, was designated as the lead college, with KC and BTTC as its constituent colleges.
Presently, HR College operates as the Lead and Constituent College under Hyderabad Sind National Collegiate (HSNC) University, Mumbai, established under the Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016.
