The demand for higher education is increasing globally due to globalization and the need for specialized degrees to keep up with technological advancements such as artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT). These technologies have led to automated learning, improved language learning, and faster learning. High-speed internet and personal computing devices have also fueled growth in collaborative and e-learning solutions. FOM International University is a renowned non-profit institution in Germany that was established in 1991 by an employer association to offer accessible education to all, particularly working professionals.
With 36 study centers in key cities across Germany, FOM caters to a student body of 57,000. By establishing partnerships with numerous businesses, the university has developed study programs that cater to the demands of the job market. "Our founder's idea was that people who are employed should also have the opportunity to access affordable education", explains Michaela Schonherr-Gundogdu, Head of the International Office. FOM has over 1,000 business partners, more than 2,200 professors and lecturers, and over 80,000 graduates.
