Few points to be noted to avoid losing marks in CBSE Class 12 Science board exam:

1. Utilize the supplementary 15 minutes

Now it’s a rule everywhere that all examination boards have to additional 165 minutes to the students to read the question paper before they actually start writing the exam paper. This 15 minute is a bonus point for the students to go through the question paper thoroughly and decide from where to start.

2. Check the priority

Checking priority is one of the most important points to be kept in mind during the examination.  It is not compulsory that you need to follow the order of the question paper. Go for the questions which you are more confident about as this will increase your self- confident and will give a better impression at the front of the examiner. You can attend the question which you are not sure about at last as this will give you enough time to think.

3. Write to the point

Many students have the misconception that writing more than what the question demands is an advantage but in reality, it’s wastage of time. Science demands facts not stories. For eg:  If the question is what is nucleus? You are supposed to write the definition of nucleus instead of writing its function. Examiner wants a valid answer instead of beating around the bush. This also hampers the impression of the examiner. ‘

4. Select the questions wisely

Many a time’s students are given a choice to choose questions it may be either question number A or question number B. Students need to choose this part wisely. You should read the optional question at least thrice so that you can create a mental picture regarding what you are going to write. You should not regret about your choice once you start writing the answer because this may create a mental conflict in the exam hall.

5. Attempt all the questions

There is an advantage in the board exam as there are no negative markings. So this gives a plus point to the students. Attempt the question even you are very less sure about. Read the question thrice think in every possible way so that you can relate to the question.  Being a science student you will smart enough for a smart guess as examiners may give you a few marks if you can use some technical points.

6.  Proper space

It is very important for the students to present their paper precisely. A neat and tidy answer sheet has always more tendencies to grab more marks than the untidy one. Remember that the first impression is always the last impression. Proper spacing should be maintained in the answer sheet which will give an elegant look and smart enough to impress the examiner.

Student attempting board exams should always keep these points in their mind as this will help them to score more in the exam.
