COMEDK UGET -2020: Important Dates, Exam Pattern and All things Important!

Like every year the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) is organizing COMEDK UGET 2020. A state-level exam conducted by Karnataka for admissions into undergraduate engineering courses, COMEDK UGET 2020 has issued the availability of application forms or COMEDK form 2020 on the website for the interested candidates. The UGET exam for students seeking admissions in different engineering and architecture colleges under COMEDK is scheduled to be held on 10th May. After the exam, the selected candidates will be given admission into the engineering and architecture programs provided by COMEDK colleges which are the member institutions of COMEDK.

As the COMEDK 2020 registration has already started for admissions into engineering and architecture colleges, some important dates of COMEDK exam 2020 for UGET are mentioned below:

  • The application forms are available on the official website comedk.org since 16th January 2020 and can be availed by the students till 17th April 2020.
  • The admit card for COMEDK UGET 2020 is supposed to be released on 1st May 2020 i.e. one week before the commencement of the entrance exam.
  • The admit cards will be accessible on the website till the exam day i.e. 10th May 2020 and students can download their respective admit cards.
  • After the completion of the exam on the scheduled date, the answer keys will be available on the website from 14th May 2020.
  • The results for COMEDK UGET 2020 will be released on the website on 26th May 2020. The scorecards of the students will also be provided via the website along with the results.

Eligibility Criteria for the candidates who wish to appear for COMEDK UGET 2020:

  • The student should have qualified the 10+2 intermediate higher secondary exam or any equivalent with English. Chemistry, Physics, and mathematics as compulsory subjects.
  • For general category students, the minimum percentage mandatory to secure in Physics Chemistry and Mathematics is 45 percent.
  • For students under SC, ST, and OBC category, the minimum percentage compulsory is 40 percent.
  • The diploma students cannot partake in the admission procedure as there is no provision of admission to lateral entry students through COMEDK.

Mandatory rules to be followed during the exam:

  • It is obligatory to carry admit cards in the exam center as no students will be allowed inside the exam hall without it.
  • The reporting time at the exam hall is by 12:00 noon and no one will be allowed to enter the hall after 1:30 pm.
  • The exam will start at sharp 2:00 pm and will end by 5:00 pm in the evening.

Exam Pattern and Marks Distribution:

  • The mode of the exam will be online which will be a computer-based test.
  • There will be only objective type questions with multiple choices, out of which the students have to choose one correct answer.
  • All the questions will be in the English language.
  • The total time allotted for completing the exam paper will be 3 hours.
  • There will be a total 180 questions from physics, chemistry, and mathematics with each section having 60 questions.
  • One mark will be granted for each correct answer and there is no negative marking for wrong answers.

Under COMEDK a total of 198 member colleges are registered to provide engineering and architecture programs. With no time to waste, the students are advised to prepare properly for COMEDK UGET 2020 which will help them to land in the streams of their choice in their preferred engineering and architecture colleges.
