RGUKT Opens 2025 Admissions for Six-Year B.Tech Integrated Program

The Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT) has officially launched the 2025 admission cycle for six-year B.Tech integrated program, offering a distinctive chance for students finishing their Class 10 in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The application portal was opened on April 27, 2025, and will stay open until 5:00 PM on May 20, 2025.

This initiative aims to cultivate engineering skills from an early age by integrating a two-year Pre-University Course (PUC) with a four-year B.Tech degree, ensuring a smooth shift from secondary schooling to higher technical education.

RGUKT offers its integrated B.Tech program at four campuses of IIIT: Nuzvid, RK Valley (Idupulapaya), Srikakulam, and Ongole. The program starts with core topics in mathematics, sciences, and languages, then moves on to focused engineering fields including Chemical, Civil, Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, and Metallurgical Engineering. 

The selection procedure is based on merit, utilizing the Grade Point Average (GPA) and individual subject grades from the SSC or equivalent exams, while also taking into account students from non-residential government schools via a deprivation score.

To qualify, candidates must have completed the SSC (Class 10) or a comparable examination in 2025, acknowledged by the Andhra Pradesh or Telangana boards, which includes CBSE and ICSE. The maximum age limit is set at 18 years by December 31, 2025, with an allowance of up to 21 years for SC/ST applicants. Applicants must also fulfill local/non-local criteria in accordance with state regulations. Eighty-five percent of the seats are allocated for candidates from Andhra Pradesh, while the other 15% are available to students from both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana as per the Presidential Order. 

Additional seats are open for applicants from different states, offspring of Indian laborers in Gulf nations, and NRI students, promoting wide accessibility and representation.

The program spanning six years is divided into two stages: 

Pre-University Program (2 years): Subjects consist of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English, Telugu, Information Technology, and Biology.

B.Tech Degree (4 years): Specializations available include Chemical Engineering (Nuzvid, RK Valley), Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communications, Mechanical Engineering, and Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (Nuzvid, RK Valley).

Every campus offers a fully residential setting with distinct hostel accommodations for boys and girls, employs ICT-based education, and provides laptops to all students, promoting a comprehensive learning environment.
