JEE Main Exams to be held in August, NEET 2021 postponed to September
The pending sessions of JEE Main 2021 are likely to be held in July and August 2021 and the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET, is likely to be postponed to September 2021. However, there is no such official announcement yet made by the National Testing Agency and the above-mentioned tentative timelines are as per the sources.
A final decision on these national-level entrance examinations, NEET and JEE Main 2021, is yet to be taken by the Ministry of Education. The exam conducting authorities are in the process of reviewing the COVID 19 situation across states and UTs.
As per the news agency PTI, a source stated, "The pending sessions of JEE Main 2021 are likely to be conducted either at the end of July or August with 14 days gap between the two exams. NEET is likely to be postponed to September."
As of now, NEET 2021 is scheduled to be conducted on August 1, 2021. However, since the application process has not been started yet, it is likely that the examination might get postponed to a later date. On the other hand, JEE Main 2021 sessions of April and May and JEE Advanced were postponed earlier due to COVID 19. The pending sessions are likely to be conducted either by July end or August.
Also, the Education Ministry of India is yet to decide on the fate of the Central University Common Entrance Test (CUCET). Meanwhile, many students are now seeking the postponement of these entrance exams, asking NTA as well as Education Minister to defer the exam date. Students are hereby advised to keep studying and also to stay updated on any further announcements on NEET and JEE Main.
