IIT-Tirupati, the University of Agder (UiA) to start Cotutelle PhD program
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Tirupati and the University of Agder (UiA) in Norway have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to create a Cotutelle PhD programme, with the goal of enhancing academic cooperation between both institutions. The accord was officially established during a signing event at IIT Tirupati on Thursday.
After the signing, conversations centered on future partnerships, such as possible joint research initiatives and student exchange programs. The delegation from UiA was headed by prof. C. Linga Reddy, together with prof. Folke Haugland and Professor. Paul Ragnar Svennevig.
Dr. K N Satyanarayana, the director of IIT Tirupati, provided a summary of the research and academic efforts at IIT Tirupati, which was succeeded by a presentation on UiA’s academic programs by a professor. Reddy. The MoU creates a structure for collaborative research, faculty and student exchanges, as well as the Cotutelle PhD program, enabling doctoral candidates to undertake research with joint supervision and obtain degrees from both universities.
