IIT Delhi Sees Highest UG Offers in 3 Years: 850 in Total

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has witnessed its undergraduate (UG) students securing approximately 850 unique job offers so far. The current number of offers has already surpassed the totals recorded over the past three years: 712 in 2022, 768 in 2023, and 781 in 2024. With the IIT Delhi placement season still in progress, the number of offers are expected to increase further in the weeks ahead.

Several leading recruiters have made double-digit job offers to undergraduate students at IIT Delhi so far this year. These include prominent names such as American Express, Barclays, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), BlueStone Jewellery & Lifestyle Pvt. Ltd., Deutsche India Pvt. Ltd., Google, Graviton Research Capital, Meesho, Microsoft, Oracle, PayU, Squarepoint Capital, and Texas Instruments.

Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) such as Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (BPCL), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (HPCL), Petronet LNG Ltd., Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL), and the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) also recruited undergraduate students from IIT Delhi during the ongoing placement season. In addition, UG students have received over 40 international offers from renowned organizations across diverse global regions, including Japan, the Netherlands, South Korea, Taiwan, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

An exit survey conducted by the Institute reveals that approximately 30% of the 2024 graduates pursued diverse career paths, with 7% opting for self-employment, startups, or entrepreneurship, 6% choosing higher studies, and 17% preparing for competitive exams in civil services, engineering services, and other fields. This trend is expected to continue among the undergraduate students graduating in 2025.
