IIT Delhi & LG Electronics Collaborate on Tech Advancements
LG Electronics of South Korea has entered into a strategic partnership with the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) to collaboratively explore advanced research in future technologies, such as artificial intelligence and sustainable innovations.
On April 1, IIT Delhi revealed the partnership, mentioning that both parties would work together on important fields like AI, intelligent manufacturing, and eco-friendly technologies.
The partnership aims to improve connections between academia and industry, producing significant research results with practical applications.
The collaboration will also include combined endeavors in advanced materials and corrosion studies, along with advancements in electrical engineering technologies.
Professor Preeti Ranjan Panda from IIT Delhi stated that the collaboration with LG Electronics would represent the institution's united goal to enhance technology.
LG Executive Vice President Shim Won-jin mentioned that the partnership seeks to boost the company's technological skills and collaborate on creating innovative solutions for a smarter and more sustainable future.
IIT Delhi is among the 23 Indian Institutes of Technology in India and is acknowledged as a top institution for education and research in science, engineering, and technology.
Since its establishment in 1961, the institute has graduated approximately 60,000 individuals, comprising more than 7,000 Ph.D. recipients who are engaged in various fields including technology, industry, and public policy.
