For First Year Term End Exams IGNOU Exempts UG and PG Students from Appearing
The Indira Gandhi National Open University, IGNOU has released a notification in order to promote students using an alternative criterion. As per the reports, IGNOU has decided to exempt first-year UG and PG students from appearing in the Term End Exams 2021. Students can check the important notice on the official website i.e., ignou.ac.in.
The exam conducting body IGNOU has devised the promotional criterion. Now, marks/grades will be given based on the average grades/marks obtained by them in the second year.
Bachelor programs which come under the exemption are: BAG, BCOMG, BSCG,BTS,BAVTM,BAECH,BAHIH,BAPSH,BAPCH,BAPAH,BASOH,BSCANH,BAEGH,BAHDH,BSWG,BSCBCH etc.
Post graduate programs which come under the exemption are: MCOM, MEG. MHD, MPS, MAH, MSO, MAPC, MEC, MAAN, MGPS, MARD, MSCDFSM, MSCCFT, MSW, MSWC, MAEDU, MADE, MAAE, MTTM, MAPY, MADVS, MAWGS etc, registered in July 2020 session and those pursuing M.Sc. 1st and 2nd semester but registered in January 2021 session.
Exams apart from these courses have already been held and those students are not exempted. As per officials, this recently released notification is not applicable to the students who have been given exams.
The official notice also added, "It is further clarified that the examination for the second-year courses of the Bachelor Degree Programmes registered in July 2020 admission session and for the BCA Degree Programme registered in January 2021 admission session for the 3rd and 4th Semesters will be held in December 2021."
