How to stay focused before exam day?

With the advancements in technology, the attention span of an average human has decreased to eight seconds, which was recorded as 12 seconds until the year 2000. Today, the ability to concentrate has turned selective; a person can concentrate more on the things that attract him/her or the things that drive their interest, even the students are turning choosy in focusing on the subjects. The concentration level of every student varies, some may have a very good concentration power while other students may lack in focusing or concentration. The advent of technology along with the increasing use of social media has diverted student’s attention to a greater margin and, it has affected the level of productivity.

Apart from social media, there are various factors that distract students’ concentrating power, such as difficulty in understanding the subject, higher interest in co-curricular activities or even stress and anxiety can affect a child’s focus and performance. Today’s students get easily distracted, for example, they find it difficult to read a page full of content in a single flow because they want to use mobiles, laptops, social media websites or play games. The list is long and each child has its own weakness. The decrease in the ability to stay focused often affects the child and his/her performance at the school/college.
